Hyderabad: Autonomous Engineering Colleges under the jurisdiction of JNTU-H are demanding relaxation in rules on par with the regulations of autonomous engineering colleges in other states. They want University officials should visit once in three years and not every year. They also want relaxation in the appointment of teachers.
Prof. A. Venugopal Reddy, VC of JNTU-H has agreed to constitute a committee to review the functioning of autonomous colleges in various other states.
It may be noted that JNTU-H has 21 autonomous Engineering Colleges under its jurisdiction.
