Govt. of A.P. is contemplating to approach Supreme Court against High Court’s judgments through which the G.O. issued by the Govt. is set aside. High Court ordered to implement the new rules of admission from the next academic year.
Mr. N.Kiran Kumar Reddy convened a meeting with the officials of higher education. He issued instructions to deal with private Engineering Colleges severely.
Mr. Damodhar Raja Narasimha, Dy. C.M. told the officials to deal with private engineering colleges, severely.
He also told that the seats of ‘B’ category would be filled up as per the court orders. He further told that a monitoring committee would be constituted to watch admissions in private engineering colleges as per G.O. No. 74. He told that parents can contact him if there is any difficulty. If the private engineering colleges make admissions in excess of the seats allotted, action would be taken against them.
He told that necessary steps would be taken to implement the regulations of All India Council for Technical Education scrupulously. It will be binding on all the Engineering Colleges to put on the college notice board the details of vacant seats of ‘B’ category. These particulars should also be displayed on website, otherwise action would be taken against them.
It is understood that the Dy. C.M. has instructed the monitoring committee to find out the system of private engineering college admissions in Maharashtra and Karnataka States.
