Job Description:
Design, develop, and test hardware systems for metal rolling, strip processing, and rod/bar mill control systems.
Design, code and test PLC software for metal rolling, strip processing and rod/bar mill control systems.
Work with other control engineers to integrate unit level software modules into overall system.
Work with application and system engineers to demonstrate that engineered functions meet customer requirements as defined in project specifications.
Support structuring and standardization initiatives by using structured modules when available and contributing to the library of structured/documented functions when possible.
Support Site commissioning activities as required.
Generate supporting documentation as per team and customer requirements.
Adhere to engineering best practices, design standards, and engineering processes for the development. Suggest and implement improvements to processes and standards when appropriate.
Work within a multi-discipline engineering team consisting of Level 1, Level 2 and Field engineers.
