Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) here trapped an Additional Assistant Engineer of Northern Power Distribution Company in Adilabad district and an Sub-Inspector of Police in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh for allegedly taking bribe.
G Kishore Kumar was caught red-handed by the ACB officials late last night at the agricultural fields of the
complainant at Peechara village of Laxmanchanda mandal in Adilabad when he demanded and accepted an amount of Rs 35,000
as bribe from the complainant for doing an official favour, an ACB release said here today.
Kumar was arrested after the tainted bribe amount was recovered from him.
In an another case, Syed Imam, Sub-Inspector of Police of Nagaram police station in Guntur district was caught
red-handed by ACB officials at the police station this evening when he allegedly took Rs 5,000 as bribe from the complainant for not harassing him in a particular case, the release added.
