Hyderabad, March 14: Sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau today unearthed disproportionate assets worth over Rs 2 crore belonging to M Venkateswara Rao, Executive Engineer in the Panchayat Raj department in Warangal district.
Simultaneous searches conducted in Vijayawada, Guntur, Prakasam and Hyderabad revealed that the official owned a three-storeyed building and one flat in Prakasam district, one house in Ongole, five house sites in Vijayawada, Ongole and Hyderabad. Besides he also owns five acres of agriculture land in Guntur district.
ACB officials also found a Honda City car, Tata Safari and one Karizma motorcycle. During the searches the police recovered two kg silver and household articles worth Rs five lakh, insurance policies and various financial bonds worth Rs 11.2 lakh
