The Jubilee Hills police on Saturday nabbed one Tiruveedula Suman, a B.Tech. IV year student, while checking vehicles at Krishna Nagar crossroads at 6 pm and recovered one white BMW 320D car bearing No. AP28DG5886 (original No. AP09-BX3006) on the spot. At his instance, the police also seized a black Verna bearing No. AP16CF2939 (original No. AP10AY9789) and white Verna bearing No. AP23AG5566 (original No. AP10BB 6999) at his residence at Srinagar Colony.
According to West Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police A Venkateswara Rao, the accused is native of Ashok Nagar, Kurnool district and was residing at Flat No. 601, Sai Kiran Deluxe, Srinagar colony. The accused, son on late T Ramesh Babu was studying B.Tech final year in the Mufakkam Jah Engineering College at Banjara Hills. His modus operandi was he used to visit pubs, hotels and shopping malls every weekend and lift cars from the parking area by misguiding the security guards. He started commtting theft of cars since October last year at Bottles & Chimneys and was moving in the same cars after changing the number plates.
Police said a car was found stolen from Daspalla hotel parking area in Jubilee hills on Friday last.
Thanks to CC cameras at the hotel, Suman’s act was caught and he was nabbed. During interrogation, Suman confessed to have committed similar crimes in the past at Bottles and Chimneys and a few other social dos.
