Tehran, September 09: The commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Navy says Iran’s enemies have shifted to a strategy of waging “soft war” against the country.
“Iran’s great territory, population, military might, and unique geographical location in the Middle East have turned it into a strong power, and political experts in Western countries know that they cannot overwhelm Iran by launching a military attack or hard war,” IRNA quoted Rear Admiral Morteza Saffari as saying on Tuesday.
He said that a “media war” has been launched against Iran and efforts are being made to stir up “civil disobedience” in the country, which are parts of the enemy’s soft war against Iran.
“The US strategy to confront the Islamic Republic of Iran is based on soft measures,” but the US is also continuing its threats to launch a military attack, he noted.
