End of competition for marks in SSC

(Siasat News) A ceremony was organized by Iqbalur Rahman Memorial Society at Urdu Ghar, Moghalpura yesterday to distribute merit awards to the candidates who secured distinction in S.S.C examination this year. Dr. Hasanuddin Ahmed, IAS (Rtd) former Chairman A.P. State Minorities Commission was the chief guest of the function. Addressing the students on this occasion, he advised the students to take admissions in various courses other than Engineering and medicine. MR. Ahmed Basheeruddin Farooqui, Rtd. Dy. D.E.O., told that this year out of 910 candidates who passed I.A.S and other civil services examination, there are only 29 Muslims candidates, but none of them is from A.P. State. He suggested to the students to prepare for I.A.S. and other civil services examinations.

Mr. Ziaduddin Nayyar, acting President of Iqbal Academy told the students to occupy important positions through hard work. Mr. Syed Saber, Director Rahmania Junior College advised the students to select the right junior college for their further studies. He highlighted the objectives of establishing Rahmania Junior College and offered admissions to meritorious students in his college.

Prof. Suleman Siddiqui, former Vice Chancellor of Osmania University, in his presidential speech advised the students to get all kinds of knowledge. He told that it is an era of internet. One can get all kinds of information on internet. He said that by mastering English, higher education could be successfully completed and one can compete with anybody. Due to the introduction of Grade system, the competition for ranks and highest percentage of marks was put to an end. Mr. Khaleelur Rahman welcomed. Mr. Idrees Shareef conducted the meeting. Mr. Abdullah Khan proposed vote of thanks. On this occasion, 75 students belonging to 18 schools were given merit awards.
