Encroachers to be evicted as AP govt to seize land

Encroacher in AP capital region has intruded around 1000 acres of forest lands and due to this the AP government has come to a decision to evict encroachers in the Guntur and Krishna districts around Vijayawada city.

Initial investigation shows that in Krishna and Guntur districts hundreds of acres of government land including forests has been unlawfully occupied by some persons and the officials are supposed to provide details about the illegal occupation of government land and forest land in Krishna and Guntur districts, particularly around Vijayawada.

AP forest department officials give the lowdown to the government that near Vijayawada in the Nuzividu forest area around 1,000 acres have been illegally occupied.

As per rough guesstimate, hundreds of acres of government land have been illegally occupied in Krishna and Guntur districts around Vijayawada city. Officials are working out ways to gather details about government and forest land under unlawful occupation. The encroachments came to the notice of officials when the government decided to build the capital around Vijayawada.

The government will ask the encroachers to evacuate the lands and after giving some time, it will take action against them, the sources added.
