Srinagar, March 03: An encounter between militants and security forces broke out in Pulwama district on Wednesday.
The gunbattle broke out when militants hiding in a house fired on a joint search party of police and troops of 42 Rashtriya Rifles at Mir Mohalla in Dadasir, 40 kms from here.
Security forces returned the fire and exchange of fire was going on till last reports came in, police said.
Searches were conducted in Dadasir yesterday also.
