Mumbai, June 19: Tired of waiting for her son Shahid Kapur to star in her film, Neelima Azim has no option but to scout for options. Apparently, she asked Emraan Hashmi to play the lead. But even he has turned it down.
Our source said, “Neelima Azim was extremely confident that Shahid would act in her film. However, Shahid opted to do a film with his father instead.
Neelima tried repeatedly to rope him in, but her attempts were futile. Finally, Shahid even stopped taking her calls and did not even meet her.
She had no option but to go ahead with her film with another actor. Although she was heartbroken, she worked on the final draft. She then approached Emraan Hashmi for the role. Neelima has shared a good working relationship with the Bhatts and even worked in their film Sadak. However, Emraan was not very keen on more films outside the Bhatt banner and he has politely turned it down.”
Emraan Hashmi confirmed the news and said, “Yes, she approached me for a film but I am not doing it.”
