Actress Emma Watson and supermodel Kate Moss are among celebrities who have donated their jeans for International Rescue Committee’s Jeans for Refugee’s campaign.
The 42-year-old supermodel has joined a number of famous faces including Spice Girls singer Victoria Beckham, Eva Longoria and actress Alicia Vikander to raise awareness for the International Rescue Committee’s Jeans for Refugee’s campaign.
The initiative entails the stars donating their denim wardrobe staples to artist Johny Dar who will transform the garments into a piece of art, which will be auctioned off online via Catawiki over the next 100 days to boost funds for the organisation, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
Speaking to Vogue about the charity work, Dar said: “In this case it’s not about fashion, it’s art. It’s an intuitive process, surfing whatever feelings were in the jeans from the celebrity who wore them, and doing my best to bring them out through the painting.”
