(Siasat News): World renowned psychiatrist Dr. Mohd. Abdul Majeed Khan s/o late Mohd. Abdul Hameed Khan breathed his last on Sunday. He was 81.
He belonged to the last Hyderabadi generation which had seen the rise and fall of Nizam dynasty. He did his schooling at Darul Uloom followed by graduation from Osmania University.
Later, he did his FRCP, FRA and NZ from London and pursued his higher education in psychology from Australia. He served in many hospitals as psychiatrist and had attended various seminars where he read his thesis on the subject of psychology.
He was a regular columnist for Siasat’s Sunday Supplement for the last three decades where he shared his views, experiments and observations with the readers of Siasat Daily.
He is bereaved by wife, two daughters, two brothers and a sister. Namaz-e-Janaza will be offered on May 11 at Masjid Aliya, Gunfoundry after namaz-e-zohar whereas burial will take place at the qabrastan adjacent to Masjid Thagi Jail, Nimboli Adda.
