One can feel the frustration of a youth who does not get government job even after possessing required qualifications and skills? Asad Khan, resident of Malakpet knows the agony of this situation. 28-year old Asad Khan did M.Sc in Organic chemistry and had applied for the post of Dental Hygienist in response to the notification called by ESIC model hospital and ODC along with another youth Syed Aleem. He also appeared for the written test conducted on January 29, 2012 in Mumbai. He told that only two candidates belonging to Hyderabad had appeared for the exam from the entire country for the post of Dental Hygienist but none of the two were appointed for the two posts for which notification was issued. He revealed that he was asked for Rs. 5 lakh bribe at the time of written examination but he put his faith in his ability. But his fears come true and the result for written examination was not released.
Recently Asad Khan sent a request to deputy director and CPIO (administration) ESIC under RTI asking him to throw light on the eligibility criteria for the post. Surprisingly Asad Khan totally fulfills the eligibility criteria. ESIC Model Hospital administration admitted in reply to the RTI that results were not released despite presence of two eligible candidates for the two posts. However they didn’t disclose reasons.
Asad Khan opined that the result might be withheld as both the candidates were Muslims. Asad Khan had also applied for the same post in Gandhi Medical College on contract basis. No encouraging reply has been received so far and there also he was asked for bribe. He asked with anger why he was deprived of job despite fulfilling the eligibility criteria?
