Telangana State government advisor G Vivek has said he was eligible to contest the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) elections as he didn’t take oath yet.
The election for HCA president post was completed here on Tuesday. Former MP and government advisor Vivek and Vidyuth Jayasimha were in the fray and 207 votes were polled out of 216 votes.
Speaking on the occasion, Vivek said the previous panel made the HCA as a corrupt one. He questioned the last executive committee to tell as to how it will spend Rs.18 crore even after completion of their tenure. The election for HCA was held as per court directions and it was not correct on the part of HCA to say that the international cricketer has no membership. (NSS)
