Johannesburg : South Africa opener Dean Elgar believes that his side can reclaim their lost pride if they manage to clinch victory in the fourth and the final Test against England.
Despite losing the four-match Test series, the 28-year-old believes that the importance of the game is still up and, therefore, called on his side conduct themselves well on the field, Sport24 reported.
Elgar insisted that although his side had tried hard to end the series well, he said that things didn’t work out in their favour.
Elgar further said that he did not see the fourth match as a dead-rubber, adding that he would try his best to contribute well for his side.
Earlier, South Africa suffered a seven-wicket defeat in the third Test in Johannesburg to give England a series win and thereby losing the number one Test ranking to India.
