It is not only human beings who are facing extreme heat these days in Rajasthan but elephants too in Amer village of Jaipur are victim of such climatic conditions. Most of the water bodies in the village have totally dried up, thus resulting in water shortage for the elephants. Elephant owner said the animal requires huge litters of water per day for survival. Elephant owners are demanding the government to supply enough water for their animals. To maintain the body temperature of jumbos, their owners are providing them special diets to keep them cool.
