The election programme for biennial election to fill up upcoming ten vacancies in Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council has been announced yesterday night. As per the programme, notification for the election would be issued on March 4, last date of filing nominations is March 11. Scrutiny of the nominations takes place on march 12. Last date for withdrawal of candidatures is 14th March, 2013. The election for ten vacancies will be held on march 21 from 9 am to 4 pm. Counting of Votes will begin at 5 pm the same day.
The term of current 10 members of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative council is going to be expired on March 29 due to the retirement of the members. The members whose term is expiring are Cherupalli Seetha Ramulu, Jalli Wilson, Laxmi Durgesh Prasad Kandula, S lndrasain Reddy, Ms Bharathi Dhiravat, P Yadagiri, Sidda Raghava Rao, lbrahim Bin Abdullah Masqati, Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy and Ms Pulla Padmavathi.
