Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy on Sunday informed that the process of election of President of Telangana Rashtra Samithi would be completed by April 24.
Releasing the schedule at Telangana Bhavan here, Nayani said that the nomination for TRS President’s post will be accepted on April 20 while they would scrutinised on April 21 from 2 PM to 4 PM. The last date for withdrawal of nomination will be April 23. If required, elections for the post will be held on April 24 on the occasion of party’s plenary session t be held at LB Stadium.
Meanwhile. TRS State Election Incharge P Krishna Murthy informed that the election of district-level office bearers will be held on 15th and 16th April. While elections for Adilabad, Karimnagar, Nalgonda, Khammam and Ranga Reddy will be held on April 15, the elections for Medak, Nizamabad, Hyderabad, Warangal and Mahabubnagar district units will be held on April 16. Ministers have been made incharge to monitor the election process.
Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy will be incharge for Adilabad, Jupally Krishna Rao for Nalgonda, T Harish Rao for Karimnagar, T Padma Rao Goud for Khammam, Nayani Narasimha Reddy for Ranga Reddy, P Mahender Reddy for Hyderabad, Etala Rajender for Mahabubnagar, Tummala Nageshwara Rao for Nizamabad, A Indra Karan Reddy for Medak and G Jagadish Reddy will be incharge for Warangal district.
The party has not assigned any responsibility to the minorities leaders including Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Bodhan MLA Amer Shakeel or MLC Mohammed Saleem. (INN)
