New Delhi, October 22: Congress-NCP alliance won the battle for Maharashtra. Setting aside all predictions, candidates of the alliance have emerged victorious in 142 assembly constituencies. The alliance candidates are leading in two seats.
Like a skilled charioteer, Ashok Chavan has successfully led the election campaign that resulted into poll victory. The election results show that as a chief minister Ashok Chavan has succeeded in leaving an indelible imprint among the people by accelerating pace of development projects.
His affable nature and good communication skill played an important role in bringing victory to the party in the assembly polls. Ashok Chauhan took reign of power around nine months ago. Results show that the suave Chavan successfully impressed people of the state by his working style.
All the factors together back Chavan and put him in strong position. For the top post, other names, including Union Ministers Vilasrao Deshmukh and Sushil Kumar Shinde, are doing round in political corridors.
Though the top leadership has to decide the candidate for the CM’s post, all equation s favour Ashok Chavan
