The notification is issued for seven segments in the state of Andhra Pradesh and six Telangana segments would go to polls on March 18 and the results will be announced on March 21.
Nominations would be taken from February 22 in these segments. The six Telangana constituencies include three segments from Mahabubnagar , one each from Adilabad, Nizamabad and Warangal respectively. The electioneering in these areas was already taken up by all the parties .
In Mahbubnagar the election was necessitated with the death of Rajeshwar Reddy, a Congress associate member , while in Nagarkurnool the election was prompted with the resignation of Nagam Janardhan Reddy, the rebel TDP man. The Kollapur segment would go to by election following the resignation of former minister Jupalli Krishna Rao. In Adilabad the TRS entry Jogu ramanna would vy for the adilabad segment, while the TRS entry of Kamareddi Gampa Govardhan is seeking reelection from that constituency. In the Station Ghanpur segment of Warangal district the by election was caused following the resignation of Dr.T.Rajaiah of Congress. he joined the TRS and resigned his post.
