The election authorities have so far seized more than Rs 54 crore in different districts of Andhra Pradesh.
According to the information furnished by Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwarlal, so far, the authorities have seized Rs 54 crore cash and registered six cases of misuse of vehicles. With Rs 9.55 crore cash Nellore in on top of list followed by Hyderabad with Rs 8.29 crore. Except for Nellore district, the authorities have seized cash from remaining 22 districts.
As many as 791 Non-Bailable Warrants have been executed while 2,384 NBWs are still pending. Nearly 870 persons have been bound down under sections 107, 106 Cr PC. A total of 1400 Licensed Arms have also been deposited in different districts of Andhra Pradesh. (INN)
