Elect leaders for development: CPI

CPI leader and former MLA K Subba Raju today alleged that major political parties are trying to lure the electors with their false manifestos which are largely aimed at influencing the electors in the elections. The manifestos being projected at top level cannot be implemented, he said.
In a statement here today, he sought the election commission to take necessary action to prevent the parties from making false promises and assurances. As these parties on coming to power forgot to implement their manifestos the people should be wary of them, he said. All the parties are in a mood to lure the voters to their side and resorting to woo them with false promises and assurances. Use of money, liquor and muscle power are playing key role in the general elections, which is danger for parliamentary democracy.
He appealed to the people to elect the CPI candidate Aziz Pasha from Maheswaram Assembly segment. Aziz Pasha is noted for striving hard for continuous development and relentless services, Subba Raju stated. The people should judge whether they wanted secular leader who can serve selflessly or those who are noted for scams and provoking communal conflicts, he added.(NSS)
