A 71-year-old woman committed suicide after finding that her name was missing in the list of beneficiaries under Old Age Pension scheme of the Telangana Government.
According to Doma police, the deceased, G Anjiramma, resorted to the extreme step by consuming some unknown poison on December 17. She was first admitted to the Pargi area hospital and later shifted to the Osmania General Hospital where she died last night. She was a resident of Doma in Ranga Reddy district and had applied for Old Age pension. However, her name was not included in the list of beneficiaries which consequently drove her to suicide.
