An 82-year-old man committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling in the Jawahar Nagar police limits on Monday.
According to police, the deceased, N Krishna Rao, used to live alone at his residence in Prem Nagar. Loneliness is suspected to have driven him to suicide.
In another case, 48-year-old T Narsing Rao committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling at his residence in Mikalabanda. According to Shalibanda police, Narsing Rao, a painter, was suffering from ill-health for the last few months and the same is suspected to have led him to suicide.
In a separate case, K Lakshmi, 35, committed suicide by setting herself ablaze. She took the extreme step at her residence in Sai Nagar Colony on Sunday night and succumbed to burn injuries at Gandhi Hospital on Monday. Financial problems are suspected to be behind her suicide, according to Tukaramgate police. (INN)
