Elderly Hajj aspirants to be relieved from lottery system

Hyderabad, April 8: Central Hajj Committee has decided to allot confirmed seats to Hajj aspirants above 70 years of age relieving them from qurrah the lottery system. Apart from this, taking an important decision, the central Hajj committee has provided permission to send them along with a companion.

Andhra Pradesh Hajj Committee has received 4164 applications from Hajj aspirants and 1786 cover numbers have been issued for them. Of the 4164 applicants 3824 have applied for the first time. Central Hajj Committee has appealed to the Hajj committee officials to keep eye on applicants applying for the second time during the past five years and try to prevent them from getting seat. According to S Shakir Hussain CEO Central Hajj committee these applicants are depriving the first time applicants of performing the Holy Pilgrimage.

The Hajj Committee of India has already declared that the applicants rejected during Haj-2010 on account of PNR will be confirmed besides all those applicants whose applications were not selected during the past three years.

The last date of submission of passports is June 15. All the intending pilgrims are required to submit their passports at the office of Hajj committee before this date.
