City Police Commissioner M. Mahender Reddy on Monday informed that elaborate security arrangements were being made for the peaceful conduct of Shobha Yatra on the occasion of Sri Rama Navami festival on April 5.
The Police Commissioner, along with GHMC Commissioner Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy and officials of other departments, on Monday conducted the route inspection to finalise the arrangements to be made by various departments. He informed that the 7 KM route of Shobha Yatra from Seetharambagh to Hanuman Tekdi has been divided into various sectors and all arrangements would be in place by Tuesday evening. He said all wings of police department like Law & Order, Traffic, Special Branch, Task Force, Home Guards and Armed Reserve would be deputed for the peaceful conduct of the festival.
Mahender Reddy appealed to the organisers, common people and all stake holders to cooperate with the police for the smooth conduct of the Shobha Yatra. (INN)
