Elaborate security arrangements are being made for the foundation stone laying ceremony of Amravati, the new capital of Andhra Pradesh State.
Speaking to media persons on Friday, DGP J.V. Ramudu said that foolproof security measures were being taken in view of visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Heads of a few nations, other VVIPs and nearly two lakh general people. He said hitech security gadgets for acute surveillance and monitoring are being deployed. All rank officials have been briefed about the importance of foolproof security and they are being deployed in large numbers in Vijjayawada and Guntur. Security has also been enhanced at Gannavaram Airport where the VVIPs will arrive in special aircrafts. (INN)
