GHMC Commissioner & Special Commissioner Somesh Kumar and Hyderabad Police Commissioner M Mahender Reddy, alonwith senior officials of various departments inspected the arrangements for Shoba Yathra procession to be taken out on April 4 on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanthi.
Somesh Kumar informed that the GHMC, in coordination with Police and other government departments, are making elaborate arrangements for the smooth conduct of procession. The GHMC has taken up patch works on the roads, maintenance of street lights, additional lighting facilities, lifting of debris, sanitation works and drinking water facilities. He said 10 GHMC workers and one Supervisor have been deployed for every 200 meters of procession route.
The Police Commissioner said that fool-proof security arrangements were being made for the procession. He said that the entire procession would be monitored through CCTV cameras installed at various important locations across the city.
Additional Commissioner (H&S) N Ravi Kiran and senior officials from Police, HMWSSB and other departments have participated in the inspection. (INN)
