Eight two-wheeler lifters arrested, 40 vehicles recovered by Rachakonda police

The police personnel of Medipally and Uppal police stations under Rachakonda Commissionerate have arrested eight two-wheelers lifters for stealing 12 bikes under Uppal PS limits and 28 under Medipally limits.

 

In a pressnote here on Friday, the Rachakonda Police Commissioner the bike lifters were mainly students and private employees. Their modus operandi of the criminals is to lift two-wheelers, which are parked at busy centers on the Uppal and Medipally main roads by breaking open locks of the vehicles and Chinthala Rajasekhar opens the locks with false master key, the Commissioner stated.

The Rachakonda PC said the arrested were identified as Baki Naveen alias Ditch Naveen, 19, works in a canteen; Rangu Uday, 19, mechanic; Kuttadi Mahesh, 19, auto driver, Dandamaina Rajasagar Reddy, 17, student; Rapolu Rohan Reddy, 17; Munnuru Naveen alias Nathi Naveen, 17, student; Voggu Nagaraju, 16, student and Chinthala Rajasekhar, 27, laundry shop worker.

The Police Commissioner stated that 40 two-wheelers were recovered from the accused. He stated that the stolen bikes were sold in Ibrahimpatnam, Mothukur, Yadagirigutta, LB Nagar, Saroornagar, Tarnaka, Pochampally and so on. He appealed to the general public not to purchase old vehicles sold by strangers without valid documents. If such persons come to their notice, they must immediately inform the nearest police station, he added. He also appealed to those driving vehicles should carry the vehicle documents along with them.
