Eight Naxals arrested in Chhattisgarh

Raipur, April 08: Eight Naxalites were arrested from Narayanpur district in Chhattisgarh, police said today.

The ultras, including six who were carrying reward of Rs 5,000 on their heads, were arrested last night from Anjarel and Palaksa villages of the district, Superintendent of Police Mayank Srivastav said.

On a tip off, a police party carried out combing operation and arrested the outlaws who had been absconding for long time and seized three loaded guns, ammunition and detonators from them.

They were being interrogated, he said.
