Eight killed in Iraq car bomb attacks

Baghdad, August 12: At least eight people were killed and 30 others injured in two separate car bomb attacks in the Iraqi capital Tuesday night, the police said.

The first explosion occurred near a Shia mosque in the Al-Amin district of Baghdad, while the second explosion took place near a coffee shop in the same district.

Eight people were killed and 30 injured in the bombings, a police official said requesting anonymity. The number of deaths in each of the incidents was not immediately known. The explosions also damaged nearby buildings.
