Eight dead in explosion in Afghanistan’s Jalalabad

Jalalabad [Afghanistan]: At least eight persons have been killed in an explosion that struck the eastern Afghan city of Jalalabad in Nangarhar province.

A suicide bomber detonated his explosives, reported Khaama Press, citing Afghan official as saying.

A further 15 people including children were reportedly wounded in the explosion.

Provincial health director Najib Kamawal has confirmed the toll and said some of those wounded were in a serious condition.
