Karimnagar: As many as 70 local workers and leaders of BJP, ABVP and VHP were today detained for unlawful assembly for demanding removal of a “dangerous” wall of Eidgah near Karimnagar Municipal Corporation (KMC), police said.

The Town Police arrested Bandi Sanjay Kumar, VHP district secretary Komalla Rajender Reddy, Bethi Mahender Reddy and 67 others under IPC section 151 (knowingly joining or continuing in assembly of five or more persons after it has been commanded to disperse) and other relevant provisions.
However, they were released later, told Police.
