Riyadh: In Saudi Arabia, Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on 24th May as the crescent is not sighted tonight.
Earlier, astronomers at the observatory of Majmaah University, Riyadh had predicted that the chances of sighting crescent on 22nd May is very less.

On Saturday, Moon can be sighted as it will set 43 minutes after Sun at 7:23 p.m. at 293 degrees.
Eid in other countries
In Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Singapore, Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on 24th May as the moon is not sighted in these countries.
Muslims across Kerala will also celebrate the Eid on Sunday.
In the other states of India, the date of the Eid will be decided based on the sighting of Moon.
It may be mentioned that in India, there will be no open prayer sessions on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr due to lockdown norms.
