Govt. of Telangana has changed the holiday for Eid-ul-Azha and the restricted holiday of Eid-e-Ghadeer. Dr. Rajiv Sharma, Chief Secretary, Govt. of Telangana had issued GO. Rt. 738 on 29th November 2013 wherein holiday was given for Eid-ul-Azha on Sunday 5th October and Eid-e-Ghadeer on 13th October.
State Wakf Board represented to the Govt. that on account of sighting the Moon late, Eid-ul-Azha falls on Monday 6th October and Eid-e-Ghadeer on 14th October. Govt. of Telangana issued GO accordingly and declared holiday on 6th October for Eid-ul-Azha and restricted holiday on 14th October for Eid-e-Ghadeer.
