Eid-al-Adha: Kerala temple opens doors for “namaz”, sets example of communal harmony

Thrissur: Kerala flood was one of worst natural disasters. Hundreds of people lost their lives whereas over one million people are taking shelter in various relief camps in the State.

Meanwhile, Kerala Muslims faced difficulties in offering Eid-al-Adha namaz as Masajid of the State are still covered with water. They were able to offer the prayer only after a temple opens doors for the Eid Namaz.

According to the report published in India Times, this example of communal harmony was set by the Purappillikavu Rakteshwari Temple located in Thrissur District of Kerala.

It may be noted that following the devastating flood, many people were forced to take shelter in relief camps.
