Bhopal: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday called on an egoistic Congress to stop disrupting the nation’s progress by stalling proceedings in the Parliament.
“Almost every political party agreed to the functioning of Parliament but there is one (Congress) which is not willing to understand. I don’t understand why they are bringing their ego in the functioning of democracy. We were expecting Parliament’s Monsoon Session to be extended to get some important bills passed, but they(Congress) won’t let us do.So, the Congress is stalling the Parliament to disrupt the nation’s progress,” Prime Minister Modi said at a rally in Bhopal.
“I was expecting that the opposition will understand the nation’s expectations. The people have given us a mandate and I expected them(Congress) to respect it,” he added.
On his developmental agenda, Prime Minister Modi said, “We just don’t believe in bringing policies, but also make sure that they are implemented. Through the Mudra Bank, we have decided to help street vendors. The role envisaged for the Mudra Bank is to help micro enterprises by financing their businesses. And these small businesses have the potential to generate employment.”
He also described the Congress Party as a group of ‘Hawalabaaz’ who are terrorised due to the strong black money laws initiated by his government.
“The strong laws on the black money have disturbed the ‘Hawalabaaz’. They are feeling the heat and the threat, and that is why these groups of Hawalabaaz are disrupting the democratic system,” he said.
Prime Minister Modi later inaugurateed the three-day World Hindi Conference organised jointly by the Ministry of External Affairs and the Madhya Pradesh Government.(ANI)
