With the end of Asif Jah dynasty, an unremitting effort to change the identity of buildings constructed by Muslim rulers is on with a planned conspiracy. At first the nefarious effort to wipe out the identity of Osmania University, the first Urdu University of the world, began with changing the medium of instruction from Urdu to English. Prejudices elements changed the university emblem which had Urdu inscription and crown of Huzoor Nizam.
Similarly right from Andhra Pradesh High Court to Bagh-e-Amma Assembly at every place it was tried to wipe out Muslim identity. And now the identity of state’s largest library Asifia State Central Library is on. The Asifia state central library was inaugurated by Asifjah VII Mir Osman Ali Khan Bahadur. The railing fixed at the time of construction had a monogram of Asif Jah VII’s name and Asifjahi sultanate. At 60 places the monogram was fixed into the railing. But on the pretext of removing the railing the monograms are being destroyed so that the historical building does not have any sign of Asifjahi sultanate. Apart from this two temples have been built inside the premises which did not exist at the time of construction of Asifia Library.
