Efforts on to trace Hemant’s body

Ghaziabad, January 22: Efforts are on to trace the body of Hemant, the 21-year-old son of a senior Fire official, who was allegedly killed by his younger sibling and a cousin, police said today.

The search team was yet to find the body from Hindon river.

“Though the search team, involving 18 divers and two motor boats, could not find Hemant’s body but we are not disappointed. Our efforts are still on,” DIG Akhil Kumar said.

Hemant, son of Chief Fire Officer AP Singh, was killed on January 18 by his younger brother Sachin along with the help of cousin Amit at the government quarters in Police Kotwali area here. The accused threw the body in one of the waterbodies and painted the walls to hide the blood stains, he said.
