Efforts to solve the problems of Muslim employees of RTC

Hyderabad, January 22: To solve the problems of Muslim employees, RTC Muslim Minority Association has been established. Mr. Mohammed Raheemuddin, General Secretary, RTC Muslim Minority Association and other leaders of the Association addressed a gathering after Friday prayer at Adabi Function Hall in Jagtial.

They said that there are 1212 RTC bus depots in the state and 28 thousand Muslim employees are working in them. Due to non-availability of Muslim leadership, a large number of problems relating to Muslim employees of RTC remained unresolved. After the struggle of more than three years, RTC Muslim Minority Association has been established. Some recognized unions of RTC appease the Muslim employees on the occasion of election but afterwards they neglect them. Despite representations the problems of Muslim employees of RTC remain unresolved.

The main objectives of the Association are

1. To reduce duty hours during Ramazan.
2. To implement 4% reservation in promotions.

Because of non-implementations of reservation policy, nearly 2 thousand employees are deprived of promotions Holiday should be declared on Miladunnabi as is being done on the occasion of Ambedkar’s birthday. Mr. Mohammed Tahir, President Jagtial Division and Mr. Mohammed Khaleel were present at the meeting.
