Hyderabad: It has been decided to conduct joint survey and cordoning of Waqf properties by Revenue and Waqf officials for protection of prime Waqf lands of Cyberabad and Rangareddy. Higher officials of both the department will conduct a survey of four prime properties on August 9 and 10 and identify boundaries.
This has been decided in a high level meeting convened by Waqf Board Chairman Mohammed Saleem. The meeting was attended by Joint Collector Rangareddy S Sunder, Additional Commissioner of police Cyberabad Shahnawaz Qasim, RDO J Srinivas, MRO N R Sarita, Assistant Commissioner of police Ramna Kumar and Sub-inspector G V Ramna Goud besides Chief executive officer Waqf Board Mannan Farooqui, MLAs Moazzam Khan, Kausar Mohiuddin and officials of various departments.
It was briefed in the meeting that mostly due to lack of support from police and revenue departments, Waqf Board has not been able to restore the Waqf properties from the illegal occupants.
