Efforts to acquire lands for Mus lim graveyard in Shamshabad

After the construction of International airport in Shamshabad airport, the population of the area has enormously increased Muslims constitute nearly 40% of the total population of Shamshabad airport Mandal. The present area of Muslim graveyard is insufficient .

Mr. Mohammed Mushtaq Mohiuddin, President of Muslim Welfare Association of Shamshabad airport Mandal had submitted a memorandum to Minister of Minorities Welfare, Mr.Syed Mohammed Ahmedullah requesting him to allot five acres of land in Kotuaguda and airport colony.

He told the Minister that the Muslims constitute 40% of the total population of this area and there is a need to all adequate lands for the Muslim graveyard.

He pointed out that land has been allocated for the Hindus for their Shamshan Ghat but no land has been alloted to Muslims for their graveyard in airport colony. The Muslims of this area have to take their dead bodies to other area for their burial. It is a fact that airport was constructed after demolishing mosque, Aasnoorkhana and other sacred places.

He also pointed out that land grabbers are illegally occupying the Wakf lands belonging to Dargah Syed Shahabuddin Sahrawardy(R.A). There is a need to construct a boundary wall there.

He also stressed the need to abolish all the illegal possession from thin area.

Mr. Ahmedullah assured him that he would tour Shamshabad airport area very soon to acquaint himself of the facts.
He has sent two letters to Collector for allocating lands of the Muslim graveyard.
