Finance Minister Etala Rajender today exhorted the officials and staff of treasury and other departments to work more efficiently to offer transparent services. Releasing 2016 Diary of Telangana Treasury Employees Association at Secretariat here along with Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy, the minister vowed to address their problems and asked them to adopt latest technology to serve effectively as the people in Telangana are seeking speedy justice and timely succor.
He warned the he will not do any favour if anything goes against the norms. Since the statehood is meant for delivering fruits of development to the poor and needy, the officials should avoid jostling for their problems and instead focus on good governance which is the ultimate aim of the TRS party. ‘We came to power after a protracted struggle and our aim is to offer corruption free and yet spontaneous services’. Rajender recalled that the successive governments denied us funds and deliberately thrown us into poverty and misery. He cited that Congress government denied funds to Telangana despite our pleas. K Rosaiah being the chief minister given us only Rs 7 cr out of Rs 132 cr, he said. Though we used to almost beg for the funds in undivided Andhra Pradesh, now being in the own state we are able to present Rs 1 lakh cr budget for our own state and release Rs 100 cr through a GO, Rajender said.
He said that bifurcation blues will be settled soon as Kamalanathan committee term will be ending on March 31. The minister assured of taking steps for promotions, transfers and resolving other issues of the treasury wing as per norms.
Balladeer Gaddar who also attended the meeting said that statehood fruits should be delivered to the poor and it is the responsibility of the employees. Though we are suppressed for long time we will now cherish the dream of own state and witness rapid growth he said adding that he will take up awareness programs if necessary. Gaddar also enthralled the gathering with his traditional song on the occasion. TS Treasury wing director K Bhima Reddy, Association president Vijay Kumar and other officials were present.(NSS)
