Science fiction Telugu film Eega bagged two National Awards for the year 2012.
The romantic film written and directed by SS Rajamouli, won the best regional (Telugu) film award besides winning award in the best special effects category. There was a near drought for the national awards and Eega has ended it by winning two films.
The awards were announced in New Delhi today with Vikki Donar bagging the maximum number of awards.
Eega was dubbed into all the south Indian languages and in Hindi (Makki) and won laurels from the critics. The film was screened in many international film festivals besides the 10th Chennai International film festival. (INN)
