Sachar Committee and Ranganath Misra Commission in their reports have declared Muslims more backward educationally and economically than SCs and BCs. Hence to eliminate economic backwardness of Muslims they must be provided reservations in educational institutions, government jobs, corporate sector and also provided financial aid for business and studies.
There are a number of poor Muslim students who perform well in studies and some of them are even getting admission in American, British, Australian, Canadian and Singapore universities. But they don’t have anything to give as surety to get bank loans. In this situation poor Muslim students who wish to study abroad should also be paid Rs. 10 lakh as aid on par with SC and ST students.
