“The condition of Muslims can’t improve unless Muslims themselves pay attention towards changing their condition. Fortunately Muslim parents and guardians are paying attention towards education and training of their children. As a result a large number of Muslim boys and girls are seen in professional courses which is promising for not only the community but for the entire country.” These views were expressed by Siasat editor Mr. Zahed Ali Khan while addressing the inaugural function of tailoring centre set up at Maula Ali for women and girls. The centre has been set up by Helping Hand.
Speaking further Mr. Khan told that Muslims lost jobs after police action, it was tried to damage Urdu language. Thousands and lakhs of acres of land of Muslims was gobbled up under Urban Land Ceiling Act. In that scenario it was inevitable for Muslims to go for education. However it took a span of 50-60 years to create educational awareness among Muslims. Mr. Zahed Ali Khan hoped that coming generations would lead in educational field and would get their rights with the help of education.
