Such persons are being appointed as presidents of Masajid Committees who neither offer names regularly nor have any knowledge of Quran and Hadeeth. If a detailed survey is undertaken, it would be found that money lenders, rowdy sheeters, uneducated, and egoist persons are on the post of Masajid committee presidents. They do not even hesitate to create factional differences for their petty interest.
One such person has killed a musalli of Jama Masjid Moinabad just because he had objected on using abusive languate against Masjid musallian and committee members, in their absence. On July 3 a Panchayat was convened to settle the issue of committee presidentship of Jama Masjid Moinabad. On the conclusion of Panchayat 27 year old Mohammad Aijaz was killed by Mohammed Moin and his friends.
According to details Mold. Moin wanted to be appointed as Masjid committee president but the Muslim villagers were against him. At fist he tried to create factional dispute among the musallis but in vain. Whenever imam sahib used to stand to offer namaz he used to push him saying namaz is not valid behind this imam.
A Panchayat was called to settle the issue, the issue was resolved and all the people return their houses happily but Moin and his friends remained there. Victim Mohammed Aijaz was also there. Mohd. Moin suddenly started abusing committee members; on which Mohammed Aijaz objected saying ‘now that the Panchayat is over and all are gone why do you use abusive language’. This angered Moin and in a fit of rage he stabbed Aijaz. Aijaz’s younger brother Mohammad Riyaz tried to hold him but Moin also hit him on the head. He also attacked another Aleem, friend of Aijaz and Riyaz.
