Whipping its chord, the Enforcement Directorate has attached some properties valued at Rs 51 crores of YSR Congress Party chief and Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy in connection with his Disproportionate Assets Case.
According to the Attachment Order of the ED, Jagan’s properties attached are: 35 acres of land allotted to the Hetero Drugs company, Fixed Deposits worth Rs 3 crores in DA case, 13 acres of land given to Janani Infrastructure and Fixed Deposits worth Rs 14.5 crores in the name of Jagati Publications.
The ED also confirmed the violations committed by the Jagan’s companies under the Money Laundering Act. It also observed that these institutions conspired and obtained benefits from the State government illegally. The ED stated that the Hetero Drugs and Aurobindo Pharma were benefited to the tune of Rs 8.60 crores each as the State government had allotted 75 acres of land each. It also stated that the Trident Life Sciences gained Rs 4.30 crores property with the transfer of 30.33 acres of land.
The Enforcement Directorate also censured the State government for allotting these lands hastily by setting aside the recommendations of the Price Determination Committee. As a result of illegal allotments, the beneficiaries invested Rs 29.50 crores in the Jagan’s companies in quid pro quo manner, it added.
