ECIL to achieve Rs 2,000 cr turnover in financial year:CMD

Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL) Chairman and Managing Director Y S Mayya today stressed that Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) still play a major role in the economy in spite of competition from private sector.

Addressing the gathering after hoisting the national flag at the ceremonial function held at the factory and inspected a Guard of Honour presented by a CISF contingent, Mr Mayya said he was confident that ECIL will achieve a turnover of Rs 2,000 crore this financial year. ECIL’s vision of self-reliance in strategic electronics for India’s critical sectors like Nuclear, Defence, Security, Aerospace, IT & e Governance, is important for developing our own technology, for high value employment and for security, he added. He was happy to inform that ECIL was contributing to its neighbourhood through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities such as improving physical and educational infrastructure in nearby Govt. Schools by constructing additional Class Rooms, Computer Labs, Toilet Blocks and Multi-purpose Halls.
